Heenan (1991) states that the name is not validly published. The cultivar is widely available from nurseries in the UK.

Upper surface:

Salmon pink with greyish-brown stripes mainly towards the edges. The margins are brown.

Lower surface:

More greyish-brown and with a dark midrib and margins.

Comments:

Very similar to other red variegated types such as ‘Maori Maiden’.

Leaves are mainly dark pink darkening to red at cooler times of the year. Narrow brown strip edges the leaves. Hardy.

Rich candy pink foliage margined deep ruby red.
