We will be attending the following shows in 2006. Our main emphasis will be on sempervivums although at some events we will also be exhibiting and selling phormiums.
May 11th to 14th The Malvern Spring Gardening Show
May 23rd to 27th Chelsea Flower Show
June 14th to 18th BBC Gardeners' World Live
July 3rd to 9th Hampton Court Palace Flower Show
July 19th to 23rd The RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park
August 22nd to 24th RHS Wisley Flower Show

RHS Spring Gardening Show - Malvern
Thursday 10th - Sunday 14th May 2006

Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcestershire
Thursday 12:00noon to 6:00pm. Friday to Sunday 9:00am to 6:00pm.

Jointly organised by the Royal Horticultural Society and the Three Counties Agricultural Society, this is the first major gardening show of the season. This year the show has been extended to four days rather than three days as in previous years.

We will be exhibiting sempervivums and phormiums in the RHS Malvern Floral Marquee on Stand 39.

Report: Generally very fine weather for the show although there was a period of very heavy rain on Saturday afternoon that caused some flooding in the Floral Marquee.

For the first time we had an island display featuring both phormiums and sempervivums. The plants were all in good condition and we were awarded a RHS Silver Gilt Medal. The only criticism by the judges was that our stand should have been larger to display the phormiums effectively. We think that this was a fair comment as the plants were rather large for the space available.

Chelsea Flower Show
Tuesday 23rd - Saturday 27th May 2006

Tuesday to Friday 8:00 am. to 8:00 pm.
Saturday 8.00 am.- 5:30 pm.

This will be our second time at Chelsea. We will be showing Sempervivum, Jovibarba and Rosularia (not Phormium) on an island display in the Great Pavilion on Stand C20.

Report: Another very successful show despite the relatively poor weather for May. We were delighted that were were again awarded a RHS Gold Medal for our display.

BBC Gardeners' World Live
Wednesday 14th - Sunday 18th June 2006

National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham
Wednesday to Sunday 9.00 am. - 6.00 pm.

We will be exhibiting Sempervivum, Jovibarba and Rosularia (not Phormium) in the Floral Marquee, Hall 16, Stand 31.

Report: A successful show  with good weather and many excellent floral displays and show gardens. The NEC show has a different character to other RHS shows. The site is more 'industrial' with few areas of grass and no established gardens and there is a strong emphasis on selling BBC Gardener's World magazines! Some of the show gardens tend to be more like a 'set design' for a theatre rather than a 'garden design' although there are some great ideas presented.

We were again very pleased to be awarded a RHS Gold Medal for our exhibit.

Hampton Court Palace Flower Show
Monday 3rd - Sunday 9th July 2006

Hampton Court Palace, London
Monday - Gala Preview day
Tuesday to Saturday 10.00 am - 7.30 pm.
Sunday 10.00 am. - 5.30 pm.

Hampton Court Palace Flower Show is one of the largest and best horticultural shows in the world. There is a huge variety of displays and an enormous range of plants and garden equipment for sale.

We will be exhibiting Sempervivum, Jovibarba, Rosularia (not Phormium) in Floral Marquee 4 on Stand 15.

Report: After the problems of the last two years, (severe weather in 2004, and London bombs in 2005) the show passed off without any major incidents. The weather was good although very hot at times and there was a wonderful selection of plants and other products on display.

We were slightly disappointed that our exhibit was only given a RHS Silver Gilt Medal as it was the first time our Sempervivum display was not awarded Gold. We felt that it was as good as previous ones and at this time of year there were a number of plants in flower. We were told that some of the judges did not like to see sempervivums in flower (and others thought there were not enough flowers!) This was the main reason that we did not get a Gold Medal.

The RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park
Wednesday 19th to Sunday 23rd July 2006

Tatton Park, Manchester
Wednesday to Sunday, 10.00 am to 7.00 pm.

We will be exhibiting Sempervivum, Jovibarba and Rosularia (not Phormium) in the RHS Floral Marquee on Stand 13.

Report: Very hot weather - lots of ice cream and cold drinks consumed!

We made sure this time that we did not have many plants in flower on our display. The judges liked it much better and we were awarded a RHS Gold Medal. In fact, we were one of four displays considered for the award of 'Best in Show' in the floral marquee. The award actually went to a stunning display of Disa orchids.

RHS Wisley Flower Show
RHS Garden Wisley
Tuesday 22nd to Thursday 24th August 2006

RHS Garden Wisley, Woking, Surrey, GU23 6QB

The Wisley Summer Flower Show opens on Tuesday August 23rd and runs until Thursday August 25th. We will be exhibiting Sempervivum and Phormium in the main marquee.

Normal entry charges apply for RHS Wisley Gardens.

Report: This was our last major show of the year and we were delighted to be awarded, not only a RHS Gold Medal but also the 'Best in Show' award for our display of sempervivums and phormiums.
