RHS Spring Gardening Show
Friday 13th - Sunday 15th May 2005

Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcestershire
Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9:00am to 6:00pm.

Jointly organised by the Royal Horticultural Society and the Three Counties Agricultural Society, this is the first major gardening show of the season.

We will be exhibiting sempervivums and phormiums in the RHS Malvern Floral Marquee on Stand 36.

Report: Despite a poor weather forecast the days at Malvern were fine and bright, although rather cold for the time of year. There was, as always, a wonderful range of plants and gardening related items on display and for sale.

Our plants were in superb condition and we were very pleased with our display. However, the judges did not like it as much and we were awarded a RHS Silver Medal.

The last four times we have exhibited we have received RHS Gold Medals so we were rather disappointed, and concerned to know where we had gone wrong. The feedback we received from the chairman of the judging panel left us very confused since most of the criticisms were of things that previous judging panels had complemented us on. It seems that this particular judging panel were not Sempervivum or Phormium enthusiasts!

Chelsea Flower Show
Tuesday 24th - Saturday 28th May 2005

Chelsea
Tuesday to Friday 8:00 am. to 8:00 pm.
Saturday 8.00 am.- 5:30 pm.

This will be the first time we have exhibited at Chelsea. We will be showing Sempervivum, Jovibarba and Rosularia (not Phormium) on an island display in the Great Pavilion on Stand C21.

Report: After the disappointment of the Malvern Show result we were apprehensive about our first Chelsea exhibit and approached our stand with trepidation on the Tuesday morning. All our anxieties disappeared when we saw that we had been awarded a RHS Gold Medal.

A top award at the 'Greatest Flower Show in the World' - we are thrilled, and determined to do all we can to live up to it. It is wonderful to know that these beautiful little plants that we have grown and enjoyed for so many years are becoming popular again.

BBC Gardeners' World Live
Wednesday 15th - Sunday 19th June 2005

National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham
Wednesday to Sunday 9.00 am. - 6.00 pm.

We will be exhibiting Sempervivum, Jovibarba and Rosularia (not Phormium) in the Floral Marquee, Hall 16, Stand 23.

Report: We were again delighted to be awarded a RHS Gold Medal for our exhibit. The plants were in excellent condition and full of colour. Unfortunately they soon lose condition in the relatively dull light of the marquee but even at the end of the show we had very complementary comments from visitors.

Hampton Court Palace Flower Show
Monday 4th - Sunday 10th July 2005

Hampton Court Palace, London
Monday - Gala Preview day
Tuesday to Saturday 10.00 am - 7.30 pm.
Sunday 10.00 am. - 5.30 pm.

Hampton Court Palace Flower Show is one of the largest and best horticultural shows in the world. There is a huge variety of displays and an enormous range of plants and garden equipment for sale.

We will again be exhibiting Sempervivum, Jovibarba, Rosularia and Phormium but this year we will be in Floral Marquee 2 on Stand 12, rather than in the Plant Heritage Marquee.

Report: The beautiful summer weather usually associated with Hampton Court Palace Flower Show did not appear until the weekend, and the bombings in London cast a shadow over the show from the Thursday onwards. As always, there were spectacular gardens and floral exhibits, and a huge range of gardening accessories on sale.

We were disappointed that the RHS Judges only awarded us a Silver Medal for our exhibit. After the Malvern Spring Show we were partly expecting this as it appears that the combination of Sempervivum and Phormium is no longer looked on with favour. The feedback we received was that our plants were in fine condition and very well presented but that the judges were 'not inspired' by the display.

Report: This was a great show for us. Our display was awarded a RHS Gold Medal and we had many enthusiastic comments from the show visitors.

RHS Wisley Flower Show
RHS Garden Wisley
Tuesday 23rd to Thursday 25th August 2005

RHS Garden Wisley, Woking, Surrey, GU23 6QB

The Wisley Summer Flower Show opens on Tuesday August 23rd and runs until Thursday August 25th. We will be exhibiting Sempervivum and Phormium in the main marquee.

Normal entry charges apply for RHS Wisley Gardens.

Report: Our exhibit included both phormiums and sempervivums so, after the disappointments of the Malvern Spring Show and Hampton Court medals, we were were not expecting anything different at Wisley. However, we were delighted that this time we were not only awarded a RHS Gold Medal but also considered for the Best in Show award. This award actually went to Fernatics for their immaculate display of ferns, but we were delighted to be told that we had been in the running.

RHS Great Autumn Show
RHS Halls, Westminster
Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th September 2004

RHS Lawrence & Lindley Halls, Vincent Square, London. SW1P 2PE

Tuesday 13th September, 10am - 7pm
Wednesday 14th September, 10am - 5pm

We will again be exhibiting  Sempervivum, Jovibarba and Rosularia (not Phormium).

Report: Our display was again awarded a RHS Gold Medal and we received some very nice comments from the judges. It was also a great pleasure to see Alan Smith (who has exhibited sempervivums many times in the past) at the show.

This was our last show for 2005 and it was great to end on a high! It has been a very good year for us - 5 RHS Gold Medals and 2 Silver Medals.
